Please read detailed information below:
Saturday, January 24, 2026
Grafton High School, Grafton, MA
This serves as a reminder of what to bring with you and how to prepare for our upcoming All State Auditions Day!
1. A reminder that ANY director who is sending students to All State Auditions must have a CURRENT NAfME/MMEA membership. One director can NOT be the overarching sponsoring director for other director's students. There was info sent about this over the past months, but just in case - to show that this is updated you must:
Go in to AVENIR and click on MODIFY CONTACT INFO at the top of the screen
Update your main contact info for your district if needed and click SUBMIT
Scroll down and you'll be able to click on Add Director OR if you already have directors listed, just CLICK ON THEIR NAMES
Update the information as needed - especially the EXPIRATION DATE of the director's NAfME/MMEA Membership
CLICK SUBMIT - if you don't, your information will not be saved!
2. Be sure to fill out the ALL STATE AUDITIONS CHAPERONE FORM to let us know who is responsible for your students on the Auditions Day! Many times we have students arriving with no adults present - all students must be accompanied by a chaperone. Also, a reminder that students may NOT drive themselves to and from auditions.
3. You must bring the following items to the Registration Table when you arrive at Grafton High School:
PRINCIPAL FORM
STUDENT MEDICAL FORM(S)
PAYMENT
Be sure that your PRINCIPAL FORM shows the updated students who passed the Pre-Screen Audition process for Contemporary Music Ensemble and the Jazz Ensemble w/Vocalists.
If there is an issue with getting a PO/Check to MMEA by the day of auditions, you MUST email Noreen Burdett (ndiamondbu@gmail.com) AHEAD of the auditions date. Please do not come to the registration desk the day of auditions without your payments letting us know of the delay at that time.
4. Our All State Auditions Coordinator, Michael Coelho, recently sent out communication with resources and information about how vocalists can be preparing for their auditions. Please be sure to read that information carefully as it focuses directly on sight reading, practice tracks, and how the audition process will work. Click here to review the vocal audition information.
That's all we have for now, folks! We're looking forward to seeing you at All State Auditions! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Michael Coelho, Auditions Coordinator (mcoelhommea@gmail.com) or myself (president@massmea.org)!
With kindest regards,
Jared L. Cassedy
