There are two great opportunities for MMEA Collegiates!
MMEA will cover the costs of two collegiates to attend the 2024 NAfME Collegiate Leadership Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., from June 10th to 12th, including registration, plane fare, hotel, and meals. Additionally, the two collegiates will be able to participate in the 2024 NAfME Hill Day, where they will speak with Massachusetts legislators about the importance of music education. Please visit the links to learn more about the opportunity, and if you wish to apply to be one of the two collegiates, fill out this application by April 12th. Given the competitive nature of this opportunity, a committee of MMEA board members will review the applications and decide who will attend. Please consider the questions beforehand and create well-thought-out and grammatically accurate responses.
We are looking to establish a Massachusetts statewide collegiate NAfME board that will be instrumental in planning and running the collegiate ambassador program at the All-State conference and concert, as well as organizing other events throughout the year to connect the collegiates across the state. We're seeking a President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Members-at-Large. The exact job descriptions for these roles have yet to be finalized, as we are just starting this initiative. Therefore, you'll have a voice in shaping those roles. Examples of collegiate NAfME constitutions from various states are provided in the application form. If this interests you, please fill out this form by April 12th.
