MMEA is excited to begin the process for the election of new board members. You can either get involved by running for a position or by serving on the nominating committee!
Run for a Position!
The two-year board positions opening starting in July of 2024 are
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access Chairperson
Elementary School Representative
Middle School Representative
High School Representative
Past District Chair
Each of these voting positions serves a two-year term on the Executive Board. Responsibilities include:
Attending monthly Monday Zoom MMEA Executive Board meetings between September-June which run from 4:30-6:00pm along with a one-day summer retreat.
Serving as a liaison to the general membership through various outreach activities throughout the school year including running statewide coalition meetings and feasibility groups.

Serve on the Nominating Committee
We are also looking for people to serve on the nominating committee led by past president Dr. Heather Cote. Responsibilities include reviewing candidate applications between February 26-29, and a zoom meeting on Thursday, Feb 29th from 7:30-8:00 to create the final slate of candidates for presentation to the Executive Board for approval.
